| Q: |
Why Imran khan came into politics instead of doing social work? |
| A: |
There can never be a change in society by other than political struggle to ensure justice and fundamental rights of the people. Abdul Sattar Edhi and many others have done wonderful social work in Pakistan but that has not brought about changes on a large scale in the country. Imran khan realised this fact during his social work activities and decided that to bring social and economic justice for the people of Pakistan, he has to join politics.
When in 1940 Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s party won only one seat, someone asked Mr. Jinnah why are you in politics when you can earn lot of money by your law practice in London. He replied that “I am in politics just for one reason, when I die and go to God then I want to hear from HIM, well done Mr. Jinnah you tried you best”.
Imran khan has a similar approach to politics, which he sees as social work
|
| Q: |
Is Imran khan using Shaukat Khanum Cancer hospital funds for politics |
| A: |
No. He has very little to do with the day to day running of the SKMT of which he is the chairman. He only does fund raising activities for the hospital, where accounts are properly audited and open to scrutiny. Such accusations are used by Imran khan’s opponents as a means for negative propaganda. |
| Q: |
Is Imran khan still doing social work? |
| A: |
Besides his active participation in politics Imran khan is still very much involved in social work. Other than his active participation in helping Earth Quake victims he is now building another cancer hospital in Karachi. He is also building a technical college in Mianwali with the collaboration of Bradford University, UK.
Here is link-showing development of technical college Namal college.

| Q: |
Does PTI just revolve around Imran khan? |
| A: |
PTI does not revolve around personalities rather it was made on progressive ideology. It has its full central and provincial elected bodies, which are functional at this moment and working for the objectives of the party. Other than this, Imran khan is the only parliamentarian from party in National assembly therefore he appears more on media. |
| Q: |
Why there are not many famous faces in PTI? |
| A: |
In Pakistani political history majority always wanted to be part of power. But PTI believes in long and tough struggle for the accomplishment of its objectives and most of these so called famous faces or famous politicians will not be of much use for bringing about a change in the political system for the welfare of the common man. Besides this, history tells that movements like PTI can only be successful with the help of new faces rather than same old faces with old thoughts. Therefore these so called famous faces does not matter for PTI, everyone of you with high motivation and determination to do something for Pakistan is more important than any other famous politician.

| Q: |
Who will hold important offices, if PTI comes into power? |
| A: |
PTI is complete Democratic Party and has elected central and provisional leadership. Therefore important offices will also be given to those elected central and provisional members of party when PTI comes into power.
|
| Q: |
Why PTI is still unable to get large vote bank? |
| A: |
PTI does have a vote bank and it is growing steadily. It is the only political party whose creation is against the establishment therefore faces severe resistance in its way to success. Besides this, in first election party age was just six months and in second elections because just before three month party decided to separate its way from General Musharaf so did not get enough time to prepare for election as opposition. But this is first time PTI is going for elections well prepared and hopefully will show good results. |
| Q: |
Does PTI believe on power politics? |
| A: |
PTI wants to come into power but purely on basis of public support and their votes not by any deals. It is strong belief of party that public power is only real power. PTI has always fought for justice, humanity and self-esteem. It is strongly against that politics which is only aimed to be part of power. rather believes that party objectives can only be achieved by strong political will and public support. Looking at 11 years history of party, PTI and its leader Imran khan got various offers to be part of power, in 1997 elections by Nawaz sharif and then Imran khan was main choice of Musharaf for Prime Minister but PTI refused as these things will never help PTI to obtain its objectives. |
| Q: |
Can PTI bring change being so against the Establishment of country? |
| A: |
This is simple management rule whenever you want to change system you have to separate those elements that are getting benefit from that system. You can never change system by being part of that status quo. Therefore revolution can only be brought with the help of people and political will not by being part of establishment.
|
| Q: |
Will PTI compromise on its objectives? |
| A: |
It is out of option. If PTI had to do this then it could have done long time ago. There can be compromise for vision but never compromise on vision. Role model of PTI is Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who struggled for about 40 years for his vision and also Mahtir Muhammad who joined politics in 1964 and came into power in 1981 but did not compromise on vision rather did long struggle. Therefore PTI will keep continue its struggle for the achievement of its progressive objectives regardless how much time it takes. |
| Q: |
Why Imran khan refused to be Musharaf’ Prime Minister? |
| A: |
Imran khan asked simple question from himself that “can General Musharaf and his allies afford independent judiciary?” Answer was simply “No” because biggest crooks of country were and are with Musharaf and as PTI does not believe on power politics rather to bring socio economic revolution therefore Party decided to refuse as this will not help them in order to achieve their high goals.
|
| Q: |
Why PTI supported General Musharaf in past? |
| A: |
PTI supported General Musharaf for his seven points agenda and also for his assurance that he will bring genuine democracy and throw out sham democracy from country. But once PTI realized that he is not sincere in implementing his agenda then leadership of PTI decided to separate its ways just before three months of election in 2002 even when Imran khan had offer to become Prime Minister if he remained with General Musharaf.

| Q: |
What are PTI educational reforms? |
| A: |
PTI will declare education emergency in whole country and tries to use all available resources to give education to everyone. There should also be one syllabus throughout the country because we can’t make strong one nation by dividing people on basis of Urdu and English medium. All subjects including English should be taught to everyone. We have examples of India and Singapore, which has only one syllabus in whole country.

| Q: |
How PTI plans to bring economic revolution in Pakistan? |
| A: |
PTI has detailed plan to increase per capita income up to 50% in five years. It is quite possible by making policies, which focus on common man, and by giving strong incentives to SME’s (small and medium enterprises). Example of Malaysia is in front of us during Mahtir Muhammad’s rule SME’s export increased to 80 billions as he focused on small cottage industries and gave them enough support to flourish. Same kind of plan PTI has to develop small industries and give incentives to lower and middle class. This is just short description of whole detailed plan.

| Q: |
How PTI plans to increase jobs in country? |
| A: |
PTI has thorough plan to create about 2 lacks job per year. Building urban centres in cities can do it. For example government buildings which are in commercial areas should be commercialized and money which is obtained by selling them should be spent to building housings for middle and lower class people and once they are able to live in city centres then there should be given incentives to them to open their shops and other business as it is done in New York.
On the other hand, subsidise farmers in villages and also make easy access to credit for lower and middle class to start their business.

| Q: |
What is PTI stance on provisional autonomy? |
| A: |
Strong federation can only occur by giving basic rights and justice to everyone. Like in Switzerland there are French Swiss, German Swiss, Italian Swiss but they never demanded to be separate from each other because everyone is getting justice and his basic rights.
In Pakistan, there is strong feel among provinces that they are not getting share of resources what they deserve. There is strong need to change our policy regarding allocation of resources to provinces. Resources are being given on the basis of population whereas PTI believes it should be given on the basis of poverty. At least 50% money should be given on basis of poverty factor when India can give 62% money on this factor why not we can allocate half of money on this factor.
