A Research paper on the subject "Economic Restructuring in Pakistan" by Atif Abbas. Please read and comment. Your feedback can help IRW to evolve

The involvement of West in policy making has blemished the concept of transparency, accountability and fair decisions in state
affairs. Thus, corrupt ruling class dare to govern the state. Whereas, the military intervention in politics has been impediment in institution building because of fragile civil rule. I read your paper and have following suggestion.

Our economy is highly dependent on agriculture. We have a few finshed exports especially textiles. We need to have an "Energy emancipation leading to economic emancipation."
If we have small dams along chenab/ravi/sutlej and sindh whose sole purposs is to provide free enegy and water to the farmers and to industries ( in the industrial zones along these banks) imagine the drop inthe cost and potential well being of farmer and industrialist.
we can aslo use wind/coal/garbage recycling for this purpose even I think the left overs of rice crop can be used fro electricity generation.
