| @shalimar Please don't be so impulsive and emotional.IK has already said that there would be elections within the party at every level and Dr.Alvi has told that these elections will be held in March 2012.So, just wait and be patient. It is just the beginning of PTI.For the last 15 years it was only IK.Rest assured, the ship of PTI is not going to sink, inshallah. You are urging the PTI supporters ( you call them Jialas, the term which has copyright with PPP) to challenge IK even before there are some districts of Pakistan where there is no PTI.Infact you are trying to shatter the dreams of poor Pakistanis even before giving IK any chance to make these dreams come true. That's not fair.IK didn't appoint SMQ as VC by himself; it was the combined decision of CEC of PTI and now new joinee is part of CEC.He was given the post of Vice Chairman only to strenghten PTI in South Punjab and nothern Sindh. You will know it very well that one you anyone a bigger responsibility, you also give him some authority. Why don't you listen to the advice of neutral experts like Hassan Nisar,Dr.Safdar Mehmood.Have you visited any Pakistani village in your whole life? Do you know the politics of rural area which is 70% of our total population? Ask from yourself and then give advice to IK.If people like you start doubting your leader in the beginning of his campaign, then you will end up with N-league or PPP as your rulers and then you must not say this,"Shaid Imran Khan in logon say tu behtar hee hota". | | | |

| Posted By shalimar on 18/12/2011 8:56 AM Democracy should start within the party. Why PTI does not have election within the Party? Why Shah Mehmood Quersihi has been appointed Vice President? Why not a party worker who has sacrificed for the past ten years for PTI was appointed Vice President? Why a new comer?
This trend is not good and it will lead to corrupt people taking over the Party and may side line IK in the long run. I think IK should seriously evaluate the party situation and should make a bold decision which will save his party and his legacy. Failure to show the leadership Imran and his party will become another party of feudal lords and industrialist who are ruling Pakistan since 1947 and responsible for the mess we are in now.
If the current scenario continues, there won't be a revolution in Pakistan. The hopes and dreams IK has given to the people of Pakistan will not materialize. It will be politics as usual. I urge the dear Jiyalas of PTI not to get emotional when some criticize IK. Take this opportunity to challenge and tell him that the recent decision he has made are taking the party in the wrong direction. May be with your help, he will wake up and save the party from sinking . Otherwise. Ther will be no difference between PTI, PPP or PML-N.
IK needs help from PTI Jiyalas to realize that he is making some serious mistakes. Jiyalas will be as much guilty as much IK if you fail to tell the right thing. The failure of citizen revolution which people of Pakistan are dreaming IK will bring will be shattered.
Save Pakistan PTI Jiyals by challenging IK.
You, my friend, have some serious abandonment issues. You are more than welcome to join Shahid Qazi, Osama Rana and Mohabbat Khan. I seriously think Hassan Nisar hit it right on the head when he said, PTI's demise will come through the hands of it's so called old supporters. 15 years of wandering in the political wilderness and now as soon as we get some traction in the political arena and Voila! our so called "old party workers" get an uncontrollable itch. All of a sudden every Tom, Dick and Harry is a political analyst with infinite wisdom.
My suggestion to you, don't quit your day job!

| @ZoaibKhan: Allah ke bande...you are sincere and knowledgeable but counter-productively angry at times. A dissenting voice is always a blessing in disguise to keep any system in check (as long as it serves to improve rather than derail the system)
@Shalimar...My humble understanding from reading a lot of newspapers and blogs recently is that we Pakistanis don't understand our own challenges very well. As we read more and analyze more, we will most likely end up with the realization that may be IK's compromises are not all that bad taking into consideration highly complex socio-political structures we live in and the pace at which PTI wants to change the system.

LOL, I know what you mean. But if you see this is not one odd post, most of these guys post the same pessimistic, ill informed dribble in almost all the topics related to new joinings. I guess Hasan Nisar is right in this clip

| I do not think that ideological workers of PTI should have any problem with new people called electable joining PTI. Remember the goal is the country and party and obviously through elections. Any candidate or even a sitting MNA and MPA are just worth than a signature and can be expelled anytime. We need electables because rural politics is very different where vote banks are already established. also rememeber we live in a country where literacy rate is below 50% (including those who only can write their name)
Making SMQ Vice chairman is a good gesture to an extent to attract the rural electables that they are not going to be kept away from the PTI mainstream just because they have joined the party late. But Party shall have elections within to prove transparency and merit and it has been announced that the party elections will be held in March.
I am personally inspired with IK and I think we have to consider him as a leader. I will even appreciate if he plays dirty politics for the right cause in this existing dirty system. But IK i hope u will not disappoint us and will make the institutions independent mainly Election Commision, NAB, FBR, Land and Revenue system and decentralizing the Police system. I want you to invest in Judiciary system andprovide easy and quick justice. I also want PIA, Railway, Steel Mill and WAPDA to be atleast independent if not privatized. Parliament shall be limited to Policy making only.

| We welcome critics from our party members as this is the beauty of true democracy, however this must be constructive and meaning full.
Every thing has a season. A season to born and a season to die. A season to laugh and a season to cry. So this is not time to hold any party elections as party is in making and this process will carry on right until elections which could be held soon. Once we have successfully contested general elections then we can concentrate on party elections immediately. Please refrain from weakening party by unnecessary critics. | | javaid

| | Why would some one expect different results with the same old politicians (LOTAS). | | | |

| @shalimar Different result because of three reasons.
1.The first and foremost reason is the difference of leadership.PTI leadership is honest, sincere, and courageous.Zardari,Gilani,Nawaz,Asfand are no way near to it. 2.The old politicians would not be the sole winners of PTI.Rather, PTI would award tickets to fresh and new candidates in a considerable number. This thing is absent with other parties. They have 100% old politicians as their ticket holders or winners. 3.Many of these old politicians, even if all of them get tickets and win, would not be part of the federal and provincial cabinets. This has been told by Imran Khan time and again. The cabinet would consists mostly of technocrats (the people who know little politics but are real gem of their respective fields).Only IK can take this step.No other party in Pakistan can even dream about it. Finally, please stop referrering to term 'Lota' in wrong context.Lota is reserved only for those members of parliament who elect on the ticket of party A and then join/support party B without resigining from their seat. The classic example is a group of 47 MPAs of punjab assembly who are supporting Punjab Government over the last 4 years without resigning from Q-league. I can tell you some other reasons why I expect different results from PTI than the other two parties but for the time being the reasons described above will suffice. No body can predict the future with 100% accuracy.Only Allah can do this.
