Dear Members!
I think as the CEC is not at all intrested in forming an Election cell to keep the members updated about the progress of PTI's Candidates. I have an idea and I will use my Post of Middle East Cordinator for that, as I usually get the updates from Pakistan Via Different sources. What I plan is that We should form an Election cell our self, where we can have 5 active members from Pakistan To whom I will give all my contacts and sources in Pakistan and These 5 can coordinate in between them and update people on www.insaf.pk on the progress in Pakistan.

All the 5 will stay in contact with the candidates and they will not down the # of votes they are getting from Different polling stations. As Now PTI is going in to elections in:

1. Laki Marwat
2. NA-21
3. NA-55
and 1 more place which I dont have in mind.

I request Members to please update this post with info about where the elections are going to be held in near future.

If anyone wants to be a part of it Please contact me at middle.east @ Insaf.pk with subject of Election Cell.

NOTE: Members of Insaf Youth Wing and ISF are favorable.

I fully agree with Nadeem. In fact I will suggest that a separate header should be there on our home page where we can see each constituency with latest updates under it.( this ame can be doen on a bigger scale during general elections)
Currently as far as I know the by elections are due in following constituencies.

1) NA 55 election schedule not announced yet
2) NA123 election schedule not announced yet
3)NA21 ( Mansehra, election on Jan 28)
4)PF28 ( Swat, election on Jan 28).

Very good idea.

I think we can have a active election cell on this website. There should be a prominent tab(link) name "elections cell" on the main page of this website. Inside can be links to all the constituencies in which elections are going to take place in near future. Any one getting any information about a particular constituency(disclosure of which is not harmful for PTI) should post it there. Further organization of sub-issues (history, regitered voters, polling stations, current trends ,future trends etc) of each constituency can also be done inside the link of each constituency.

I hope some volunteers would join it to make it interesting and informative. I would do my bit to get info about NA-21 as much as possible though it is not my home constituency (NA-20) in Mansehra. But I can discuss this constituency in detail as I always had a interest in politics of my city and I would get current feedback from few friends who are non-partisan and belong to that area. Unforntunately , I am not in contact with any PTI Mansehra or ISF Mansehra official as I was away from political activities for a long time due to some personal reasons. But I would try to make contact now though I do not know any of them as they are new names in politics of Mansehra (at least for me).

This idea was discussed and agreed upon among web management but unfortunately due to the loss of two very important team members, it did not take shape further.

Please brainstorm on this idea and refine it further and we will try to push it again, inshaAllah.

@ Hammad and Nadeem:

Well, that's a great idea. Infact i had raised this issue couple a months ago. I had given a suggestion that on our website, we should have a database maintained so that we can see how much registered members we have in each constituency and how many are the total registered voters in each constituency? Total number of registered voters in each constituency can be obtained easily from Election commission website.
The objective behind my idea was that currently PTI membership campaigns are running in different areas of the country but we don't have the exact statistics of total voters and total members.
I am glad that you guys have raised this point once again. My suggestion is that we should simply put up a dynamic database that could be updated on weekly or bi-weekly basis so that we may easily find out the number of PTI members in every area. This will also help us in upcoming mid-term elections.
@ Nadeem: I would be there to work with you on this project as i get enough time a day that i could spare for PTI.

Addy.
