| | Well I agree that we need a local candidate who knows Lahore. For that CEC has to deliberate hard. Lohore is one of the most important poltical centers of Pakistan. I will say it is the politcal capital of this country. Starting from 1970 ( 1st election on the basis of adult franchise) it has maintained that stature. I hope we have a team like PPP did in in 1970s ( likes of Miraj Khalid,Mubashir hassan and Sheikh Rasheed ( lohore based). Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed has been very active on grass roots and I think he or some one else as per CEC's decision eneters the contest to make it a meaningful one. | | | |

| | hey hamid khan is lahore based i think and come on javed hashmi and others have won on seats where they were imported canidates. hamid khan commands the respect of the people for his role in the lawyers movement and he is already known everywhere in pakistan so we wont have to work on letting people know that he exists.plus nawaz sharif wont dare attack him in his campaign if we are going to win in NA-123 then HAMID KHAN is our best hope thats my opinion. Hamid khan on the other hand is known all across Pakistan .. so that would reduce the publicity cost and plus if we are campaigning for him we wont be asked"Who is he?" | | | |
