Aristotle said that,” Man is a social animal”. If we do close analysis of man and its social fabrics. We will find that from the beginning till death. He has to confront complex problem. When a baby bear, in the first moment, cry rather than smile. This is a clear indication of trouble. With the passage of time, wishes to perform various activities arouse inside him. Due to inability to do that start crying to persuade his parents to help him. He then start walking, talking and thinking to fulfill his demand. He runs here and there and at last face death. This doesn’t mean that one should leave struggle. But, it will guide us to make proper assessment of available resources and intended to fulfill our wishes in our resources circle. He must formulate proper strategy, so that his struggle could not harm other life. This is called humanity. Such a person will be called human being in real sense. This was little bit about man life, wishes, struggle and strategy.

Let’s turn to our core subject, FATA’s Problems and Its Solution. FATA is a waste area of round about 32000sq.km located on the eastern boarder touches Afghanistan from Quetta to Bajour. This is popular for mountains, lush & green vallies and natural resources. The rough population is approximately 6 million. It has 1800km boarder with Afghanistan from Kandahar to Jalalabad. The inhabitants are 100% Pukhtoon. It has been governed by the federal government under 40FCR (Black Law). This was implemented by the British government in 1901. After the partition of Indopak Subcontinent, through plebiscite, tribal decided to join Pakistan conditionally. The most important were withdrawal of army from FATA and strengthen of Jirga system. Which were categorically accepted by the father of nation in 1947.Boarder security was hand over to the local tribal and since than upto now secured the boarder like a regular army. Even in Russian Afghan war they did not let the foreign forces to enter Pakistan. 9/11 event not only change international politics but put deep impression on FATA. NATO forces and Afghan government at every forum start propaganda that cross boarder terrorism and infiltration is doing from Pakistan side, having basis at Waziristan. Pakistani government under US pressure entered their forces into Waziristan without consultation of local people with an intention to fight against terrorism. In consequences, resistance has been started by the local Taliban. Though Afghan government claim was upto some extent right but not 100% accurate. In such a circumstances the government of Pakistan should concentrate on boarder security rather than deployment of forces inside the vallies. Our Foreign and Defence ministries should put pressure on Afghan government to take step for boarder security on their behalf. With out considering all these factors, situation become too critical that settled area of Pakistan has been effected. This is not only the cause of FATA instability. Besides that 40FCR amendment, educational reforms and party act should be promulgated. So that general and political awareness has been created among the people. So that, they realized that they should get their right through political mean rather than confrontation. Health, road, communication, job opportunities and basic infrastructure should be promoted. Through all these reformative steps, using of our people in other hand like puppet and deprivative feeling can be eliminated. Boarder security should be tightening. Army should be withdraw from the vallies, so that hidden resources are explored timely and peace is restored on solid footing.

you are right.. before the introduction of army to FATA, history reveals that not only the british but an arrogant and hot headed person like bhuttos had tried to rope in the unruly tribes into his fold. for this purpose he had bombed Makin at that time. He visited Raxmak, a former cantonment in the british times and made it Cadet College Raxmak, meaning thereby, he too resorted to reconciliation. Reinventing the wheel the bully Musharaf plunged the wisdom and we have to bear the brunt in form of increased hostility and foreign intervention. The political Agents had been collapsed to virtually non existant, due to their helplessness while the army take over. The PAs were merely the Chief negotiators in case of surrender and reconciliation. A whole pillar of govt administration is now helpless to act, not only in FATA but in the settled as well, due to the socalled develotion plan, one that ground Musharaf axe and awe.
