I write this letter out of deepest respect for you, and the values you stand for. Your defiance against the military dictator and his masters, gave our nation , from a child to a grown-up, something that had eroded away, 'Self Respect'. Our struggle for the restoration of judiciary is not over yet.The new administration of PPP has demonstrated from day one ,that their version of democracy and respect for our Constitution is limited, only to the sections that help in furthering their position. Divide and rule, an old colonial practice, is now being exercised by PPP to destroy the restoration of the judiciary movement. PPP has used you as the stepping stone, and now that they have succeeded in doing so, they want to send you away ; to parade you in front of their masters, with promises of honours and prizes, for you. Out of sight , out of mind. These very countries that were so vocal in the restoration of democracy are now ignoring our new found freedom and unity; by invading our borders and raining missiles on women and children; your visit would tantamount to an approval of their grotesque and barberic actions. � Sir, I appeal to you, please reconsider your decision about your pending visit to these countries. You don't need the honorary NY Bar's life membership or the medal of freedom from Harvard , these are just cheap trinkets, shining and mesmerising, with strings attached. You have already won the undying love and respect of the whole nation, not for life, but perpetuity with no strings attached. True Judiciary, Long Live Pakistan
