Even though PTI is perhaps the most pro-democracy party in Pakistan, I still am not able to understand why there are no election inside the party. I live in Canada, and was able to see the race for the Democratic party's presidential nominee pretty much every day. I do understand why in Pakistan such races, from city to city, are very unlikely and the money can be used in more important place. However, I still would like to see a true grass-root-level democracy inside the party and then from there inside whole of Pakistan. I have heard somewhere that if we wish to fix the world, we should start with ourselves. I also think it will be a very important and very useful step on behalf of PTI to have inner party elections, simply because it condones our chants of a true democracy. I have also heard somewhere that the inner party elections are taking place sometime in April. I would like to ask if that is true and would like to suggest that making these inner-party elections more public will be a good thing for PTI and will surely boost our popularity among the true democracy lovers of Pakistan. I am also sorry if such a post has already been up, but I could not find it. Thank you, Qasim

Dear Qasim,

Yes this is true, PTI is going through elections in April 2009, this was also said by Imran Khan in one of his latest talk show/while talking to the media.
