There comes a time, in the life of a nation, when all seems to be lost, when there is no light at the end of the tunnel, when the will for survival and hopes of salvation are all but dashed, when the past is a torture, present an infamy and future a nightmare! When good tidings are rare while disasters and reversals are a norm, when the land is stalked by tragedies and a dreadful hush prevails over the landscape.

They are tried and tested politicians who could give the party direct access across the districts of Pakistan in one fell swoop.  On the other hand they are former allies of Musharaf.  It's a dilemma but one worth entertaining.

The poem to describe the whole 62 years of our leadership in existence and its approach.

The desire for provincial autonomy results more from unjust economic policies and resource distribution than anything else. PTI currently follows a centric approach towards distribution of funds and thus all the Provincial cabinets and subsequently all the district cabinets are completely dependent on the centre for any of their activities. A few secretaries of Mr. Khan rule the roost and funds are available on their digressions only.

Now you guys will agree with me that why I am against the ruling elite. They create & abolish systems of governance at convenience to maintain status quo.

In times of universal deceit, uttering a word of truth is a revolutionary act and the greatest crime too. So goes the inexorable law of history.  He who is conscientious enough to prefer steep heights of truthfulness, selflessness, patriotic spiritedness over the primrose path of least resistance, of timid appeasement, of petty self seeking, always gets pilloried by the forces of status quo and inertia, so goes another law of history.

This poem was written on seeing   a single line snippet  in a newspaper about a 24 year old woman and her two children jumping off the bridge in Lahore. Its not just about her but of millions of those souls trapped in hunger and poverty.

Every political party has something for which they are proud of. Apart from the legendary Imran Khan PTI has a strong youth support. None of the other political party can claim the youth support as PTI can. Remember 60 % of Pakistan population comprises of youth. No movement can be accomplished without students support.

Recently passed months have been very turbulent both, for the people of Pakistan especially those from Sawat and neighbouring regions, and for members and to some extent for the supporters of PTI. The so called soft or apologetic stance of PTI on the Taliban issue has not only caused immense criticism on the party, it has also damaged party’s reputation as a platform of upright ideology and leadership. Both the common man and the sympathisers appear to be distancing themselves from the party. Perilous fallout of this situation is the ever spreading confusion among the dedicated and committed party members.

On the frigid and rainy morning of November 04, 1979, hundreds of Iranian students amassed outside an embassy in Tehran and seized it. The nucleus of this adventure was Embassy of United States and sixty six Americans were taken hostage by the Iranian students.

This poem is to reflect what happened to the land and our  people caught up in the ideologies of the West and drones attack and our indifference of the political elite.

"Around Us" depicts those events that are currently taking place in Pakistan and how it has weakened our moral fabric, the intangible conscience and all that makes us what we are not".
