LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab Saturday held a protest against US attacks in tribal areas, outside Lahore Press Club here on Saturday.
The protestors held banners and placards and chanted slogans against America. They also demanded the government repel the attacks.
The protestors were led by PTI Punjab President Ahsan Rashid, General Secretary Amin Zaki and Lahore president Mahmoodur Rashid. Speaking on the occasion, the PTI leaders dubbed the US raids as an 'open aggression'. They lamented that innocent tribesmen were being killed in the attacks. They said that US cross-border forays should be condemned at all levels. They also demanded the government stop military operation in tribal areas immediately. "Innocent Pakistani nation do not need US dollars; they can fend for themselves," they remarked.
