(Islamabad Friday March 12 2010) - Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan strongly condemns these horrific and murderous blasts today in Lahore, Pakistan. Our condolences & sympathies are with the families of the victims and we request all to pray for their souls. Innocent lives & mostly those of poor people who are bread earners are being lost. One of the main reasons of this carnage is the daily drone attacks which not only violate Pakistan's sovereignty but indulge in extra judicial killings as well as destabilization of Pakistan. It seems that these coordinated blasts are a reaction to the stepped up drone attacks and it is Pakistanis who on both sides are paying with their blood.

The government of Pakistan needs to give an ultimatum to end these drone attacks. Pakistan desperately needs a home grown terrorist policy instead of following the tried and failed policy of Washington. At the same time Pakistani security forces need to hunt down the perpetuators of these crimes. It is about time that we become a sovereign country which makes its own decisions rather than being dictated by Washington. There have been a number of bomb attacks in the last few months & the culprits need to be pursued by the police & investigative authorities. The police forces should be used for dealing with the welfare of the people of Pakistan rather than being diverted to look after foreign diplomats and VIPs. These attacks have exposed the failure of this puppet Pakistani government to provide security to the people of Pakistan.
