The central information secretary of the PTI Omar Cheema has said an erroneous impression has been created by a section of the press that Imran Khan in a TV talk show with Dr Shahid Masood yesterday has supported the statement of Altaf Hussain inviting’ patriotic generals' to clean the Augean stables of the government.

In a press release issued today he clarified that the PTI  chairman was quoted out of the context. Imran Khan has always been opposing the rule by the jackboots. Don’t read too much into it, he added. He said it has always been principled stand of the PTI that martial law is no panacea for the problems of the country. PTI is considering of holding a national conference after Eid to find a solution within the constitutional frame work of the problems countries facing, he added.

ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central Information Secretary Omar Cheema has said an erroneous impression has been created by a section of the press that Imran Khan in a TV talk show with Dr Shahid Masood has supported the statement of Altaf Hussain inviting’ patriotic generals’ to clean the Augean stables of the government.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, he clarified that the PTI Chairman was quoted out of the text.

He said that Imran Khan has always been opposing the rule by the jackboots.

Don not read too much into it, he added.

He said it has always been principled stand of the PTI that martial law is no panacea for the problems of the country.
