Islamabad (3 Feb, 2012): Chairman Imran Khan, has moved the Supreme Court to hold on the by-polls scheduled to be held on February 25. Today, he submitted a civil miscellaneous appeal to his previous petition seeking removal of fake votes from the voter lists prior to the by-elections. The PTI’s Chairman Imran Khan filed the appeal through Advocate and PTI's Senior Vice President Hamid Khan, saying that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was holding by-polls without fixing errors in the existing electoral rolls.

A meeting of the Central Executive Committee Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf was held today in Islamabad. The CEC welcomed the decision by Tehrik e Istaqlaal led by a revered national figure  Air Marshall Asghar Khan to merge itself in Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf. Air Marshall Asghar Khan has stood for clean politics and rule of law all his life and the passing of this mantle to Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf is a huge endorsement of the principled politics pursued by PTI. During the meeting between the two leaders Air Marshall Asghar Khan demanded of the Supreme Court to hear his petition regarding distribution of money to some politicians including Nawaz Sharif by the ISI before the 1990 election. Lahore (December 19, 2011): Pakistan’s prominent singer and social activist Abrar-ul-Haq has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.Abrar-ul-Haq said that he has complete trust in the leadership of Imran Khan and he added that he believes that the PTI would definitely deliver after winning the election. 

Islamabad (December 19, 2011):  The group of 30 politicians including Jahangir Tareen, the group includes, Ishaq Khakwani, Sadia Khaqan Abbasi, Sikandar Bosan, Sarwar Khan of Taxila, Umar Farooq Miankhel of DI Khan with his four brothers, Mohabbat Khan Marri, Ghulam Sarwar Cheema, Afzal Khan Yusufzai, Dr GG Jamal, Dr Javed Hussain from Parachinar and four technocrats including Abid Hassan, a former World Bank official announced their decision to join PTI. These 30 politicians are known to have relatively clean record and are being accepted in the PTI purely on that basis.

Pindi Gheb (December 18, 2011): Chairman Imran Khan said that no dictator could cause any harm to Peoples Party, which President Zardari himself had done with a suicide attack. Speaking at a rally in Pindi Gheb, he said President Zardari has done a job, which no military ruler could do in the past. "President Zardari has run away from the country after carrying out a suicide attack on PPP,". The PTI leader lashed out at Sharif brothers also, saying N-League ruled Punjab for five times, but it failed to provide any relief to people. A system of justice will be set up in the country after his party’s success, Khan said, adding there will be no difference between rich and poor. 

Haripur (December 17, 2011): Addressing a public gathering, Chairman Imran Khan said that formation of new provinces would facilitate the masses.The PTI chief said that the country could not become prosperous unless corruption is eliminated. He asked the people not to vote those candidates who had their assets in foreign countries. Shah Mehmood Qureshi also addressed the gathering and said that current government has no capacity and competency to address the issues and problems faced by the country.  

Chairman Imran Khan has said that PTI will inshaAllah implement a just system where  everyone including the down-trodden and minorities will have equal rights to everyone else.

Shafqat Mahmood has been appointed as the new central information secretary of PTI. A prominent columnist and political analyst, Mr. Shafqat Mahmood has previously been a member of Parliament, caretaker Federal Minister and Minister for Information in Punjab and brings a lot of experience into this important position.
