LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organised a media conference and dinner on the 2^nd of February, 2012, to introduce the first ever elected office bearers in East London’s Ghausia Community hall.

Secretary General Dr. Arif Alvi has congratulated the elected office bearers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the United Kingdom.  They now have the responsibility to further the goals of the party, to provide leadership and endeavor to unite all members into one strong group.

Senior Vice President Hamid Khan has announced the results of the first ever intra-party elections in UK. He has congratulated the winning candidates and encouraged the candidates who could not win, to participate actively in PTI UK activies and support the elected teams.

SVP Hamid Khan has announced that the e-balloting time for PTI UK election has ended and results will be announced on 29th January 2011.

Office of international affairs in a statement has clarified that the regional demarcation announced for PTI UK election is correct. It was further explained that for this year's elections areas of greater london for instance Ilford, Harrow have not been included in the London region.

Campaign time for PTI UK intra-party elections will be ending today and e-ballots will be sent tomorrow to all eligible voting members in the 8 regions of UK. Hamid Khan has encouraged all voters to exercise their voting right. 

The CEC has endorsed the election process as it is proceeding under Mr Hamind Khan in its meeting on 14th January 2012.  Mr Imran Khan also confirmed the contents of the minutes of the previous CEC meeting.

As per schedule, SVP Hamid Khan has announced the final list of 46 candidates who will be contesting the PTI UK first ever intra-party elections.

SVP Hamid Khan who is overseeing the PTI UK elections has said that after sharing the regional voters lists with contesting candidates, the elections have entered campaign phase in which contestants will reach the voters and motivate them to vote in the first ever intra-party elections in the UK.

 Secretary International affairs Dr. Humayun Mohmand and SG Dr. Arif Alvi citing a recent program by Ishtiaq Khan (secretary election commission) have encouraged all overseas Paksitanis specially PTI members to get their NICOP cards.

Senior Vice president Hamid Khan has announced the renaming schedule of PTI UK elections by re-opening the candidate nominations for the eight regional chapters of UK.

(Manchester 10 December 2011): PTI Manchester was invited to an event in Bolton hosted by Chaudhry Sajjad Asghar, where he announced his joining.

Meeting of London PTI UK activists/members was called out by Furqan Nadeem to discuss the prevailing intraparty elections` situation in PTI UK, elections delay and their long term consequences within the party in general and specifically in UK. New membership drive and anomalies regarding the current PTI UK bank account. Also, to discuss the funding mechanism to assist PTI’s Karachi Jalsa which will be held on Mazar-e-Quaid on 25th December 2011.

Central finance secretary has issued the policies and rules for finance and fund raising by overseas chapters which will be followed in letter and spirit.

In view of a pending appeal which has been rejected by the Secretary General and the Core Group in consultation with the Chairman, there is insistence from the appellants that it should be heard by the CEC.

PTI Social media and fund raising team member Dr. Awab has been invited by the Conservative Party in its conference to Manchester to speak on ‘Rethinking Democracy and Development: What Role for New Media and Technology?.  

Secretary International affairs, Dr. Humayun Mohmand has encouraged potential contestants of PTI UK elections to submit their candidature before 28th September 2011 which is the deadline for the same.

The office of international affairs has extended the candidate nomination deadline to 28th September 2011 from 18th September 2011 as the voters list based on regions was not published earlier due to logistical delays.

 Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf  along with other community groups and segments of civil society gathered outside the Pakistan Consulate, Bradford to demand immediate dismissal of Pakistan's home minister Mr Rehman Malik after serious allegations of his involvement in supporting and protecting criminals involved in ethnic violence in Pakistani port city of Karachi.

 PTI Bradford organised a ten day iftari camp at Great Horton Church

 Cricket Club, Allerton Road, Bradford from 11th till 20th August 2011.
 A special marquee was erected in the cricket ground and over 600 people
 from different walks of life attended the event over a period of 10
 days. There were specific sessions organised for youth, women and
 professionals which focused on political instability, a worsening law &
 order situation in Pakistan and how PTI can bring about change through
 democratic free & fair elections.

The elections for PTI UK have entered the nomination phase for regional elections which will be held in eight out of 12 regions. The deadline for nominations is 18th September 2011.

The office of international affairs is pleased to announce the remaining schedule for PTI UK regional as well as national level presidential election.

The schedule for book launch in UK, "Imran Khan Pakistan, A personal History" schedule has been announced.

 (Manchester 06th June 2011) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Manchester (UK) will gather activists from across the UK to peacefully protest against unlawful and ruthless killing of innocent children and women under the guise of collateral damage. Manchester Team has organized a “Dharna outside Pakistan Embassy” on 25th June from 1pm-3pm. This is in solidarity with “Dharna in Multan” and to send a message to the global community that Pakistani stand united in body and spirit against the butchering of innocent civilians.

The office of international affairs has informed that today is the last day for membership coordinators to submit their paying members so they could be included in the election process.

(London May 21 2011) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) aka Movement for Justice UK chapter organized a very successful protest (sit-in) outside the American Embassy in London UK against the drone attacks in Pakistan. This protest was organised as a result of the decision taken in the last Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting held in Islamabad in line with the PTI dharna (sit-in) planned for Karachi.

Chairman Imran Khan while talking to PTI officials said that overseas Pakistanis are an asset for the country and PTI wishes to specially focus on the requirements of overseas Pakistanis.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inset (UK) West London Chapter organised a Seminar Corrupt Politicians or Imran Khan in Cranford London. Presided by Senior Member & Ex PTI President of Belgium G.M.Khan.  Scholar & writer of more then 100 Books in English, Urdu, Persian language, Professor Muhammad Sharif Baqa was main speaker and Mian Waheed-ur-Rehman was Chief Guest. Choudhry Siddique former President of Pakistan Welfare Association and Choudhry Afzal were on stage to support our efforts.  Imran Afzal represented PTI youth. It was well organised and appreciated by everyone who attended.90% of audience pledged to become the members of PTI. Venus TV Anchor Choudhry Waqar announced his PTI membership and he was comparing the programme. He highlighted the importance of our flag and our National Anthem.

(Manchester 27-03-2011) – PTI Manchester organised a Jalsa/public gathering on Sunday 27^th March to celebrate Pakistan Day (23^rd March) with the local community in Manchester.  The event was organised in Pakistan Community Centre, Stockport road Manchester and was attended by over 400 people.

 (London 19-03-2011) - PTI UK (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf - Movement for Justice) organized a protest outside Pakistan High Commission, London, on March 19 2011 against the pre-planned release of Raymond Davis wherein the PPP government engaged all stakeholders in delivrering Raymond Davis to the Americans as per the 'deal'. Raymond Davis, the American, murdered two Pakistani citizens and indirectly killed two other people namely Ubaid-ur-Rahman who was killed by the car being driven by Raymond Davis's accomplices and the wife of one of the murdered victims who committed suicide.

PTI held a protest outside Pakistani Consulate against the release of Raymond the murderer of three innocent Pakistanis

PTI Birmingham held a protest against Raymond davis outside Pakistan Consulate. Local PTI leaders and activist from local community chanting slogans against PPP and Punjab Government for releasing Raymond Davis. While addressing to the activists present there, Mr Khalil Ch said Pakistanis living in UK condemns the whole issue which damaged the soverignity of Pakistan. He urged locals to join this movement of Justice to bring change in Pakistan. Ghazanfar Mahmood said its a shameful act and must be condemned strongly.
