5th December 2023 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

After Islamabad High Court, the Supreme Court is also reluctant to give justice to Imran Khan.

Today, 122 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Earlier, Islamabad High Court used delay tactics against Imran Khan, but now the Supreme Court is also unnecessarily delaying the cases of the country's beloved leader. Chairman Imran Khan challenged the Secret Act Amendment Bill in the Supreme Court through his lawyers, on which no notice has been received so far. Yesterday, Imran Khan filed another application to hear the same application quickly, but no action has been taken yet. The hearing on the bail application in the cipher case is also adjourned in the Supreme Court for an indefinite period. Such an attitude of the country's highest court on the requests of the former prime minister is very disappointing for the nation.

This country is Imran Khan's home, and he will not leave and go elsewhere.

Lawyers of Chairman Imran Khan met him in Adiala Jail today. After the meeting, the lawyers said, "I found Imran Khan in high spirits in this meeting as usual. Mr. Khan was always concerned about his nation. The captain is standing firm. And will never leave this nation alone. The looters go to London, whose properties are outside. Those who are afraid of something. Imran Khan always said I will live and die in Pakistan!"

Terrorism cases were registered during Imran Khan's court appearances, while Nawaz Sharif's court attacks were never reported.

The hearing for terrorism cases against Chairman Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been rescheduled to December 11. Incidents of filing terrorism FIRs against Imran Khan, his political leaders, or workers consistently occur when they appear in court. In contrast, despite appearances by Nawaz Sharif and other wanted individuals from the Sharif family, instances of “flowerpots” being broken and slogans being chanted inside the court have not resulted in any cases being registered against them.

Imran Khan exemplifies greatness even when confronted with opponents of lesser stature.

Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer, Naeem Haider Panjutha, tweeted, "We discussed the defamation claim with Mr. Khan against these planted people like Mufti Saeed, Aun Chaudhry. But he said that by making a case against such wretched people, we give importance to them and also said that I cannot even imagine that someone can stoop to such an extent for politics. These are just media trials. Khan Sahab saw Bibi Bibi after their Nikkah. Today, what these scumbags like Aun Chaudhry are saying, they will not find a place to hide. Aun Chaudhry, you were hiding your face. On the last date, I saw you hiding your face and running away from the media. Why was the mask on your face? Why did you not answer the questions of the journalists? Why were you in a hurry to sit in the car? Now you will hide your face from this nation for the rest of your life. I don't know how people like you face their children at home.”

Tehreek-e-Insaf was prevented from opening its office despite the court order.

Yesterday, the PTI Central Punjab office was reopened following court orders. However, today, a substantial police presence arrived, leading to the resealing of the office. The caretaker government asserts its neutrality, yet the actions seem to be directed against the same party. Despite the Chief Justice being cognizant of constitutional responsibilities, there is a question as to why orders from subordinate courts are not being adhered to.

Fear of Imran Khan's statements from jail, PEMRA issued a rediculous notification of a new ban.

PEMRA has sent a two-page letter to TV channels regarding Chairman Imran Khan's statements from jail, instructing them not to air his remarks in the future. Will it be effective to block TV channels in the age of social media? Imran Khan holds a place in the hearts of the nation, and attempts to limit his public presence through a formal notification will not succeed in this age of widespread information sharing.

Alia Hamza's letter from prison, imprisoned for seven months.

Former MNA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Alia Hamza has been illegally imprisoned for seven months. Alia Hamza was offered to be released by holding a press conference against Imran Khan, which she rejected.

Alia Hamza has written a letter from jail describing the atrocities after May 9 and wrote, "I never imagined that life would change so much, from a heaven-like home, to a prison-like hell for over seven months, the authority of the parliament is dead, the bars of the prison, the nets of the Prisoner van."

Shame on those who made a case against Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan. Aitzaz Ahsan

Aitzaz Ahsan, addressing the media, expressed dismay over the case against Bushra Bibi and Imran, calling it a reflection of a degraded mentality within the PML-N. He questioned who would establish whether their seclusion occurred or not, noting that Manika, who initially testified to her purity, is now a key witness against her. Aitzaz Ahsan highlighted the delay in filing his petition in the Supreme Court, contrasting it with Qazi Faez Isa's assurance of a fourteen-day timeframe for filing.

The Supreme Court's order to stop military trials of civilians has not been implemented yet.

Petition for contempt of court was filed against the Defense Secretary in the Supreme Court. The Secretary of Defense is not following the Supreme Court's order declaring the trial of civilian suspects in military courts as unconstitutional. After the decision of the Supreme Court, the accused have been in illegal detention for 43 days, but the decision of the Supreme Court has not been implemented. They are deliberately ignoring the decision of the Supreme Court, position in the application.
