I've been burning the wires for several hours today, talking to people who are much better informed than I am, seeking insights on Mehmood Khan's surprise and unexpected nomination as CM PK, especially given some of the social media chatter against it.

Pakistan has finally tumbled past 25th July general elections with Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf emerging victorious. This was a political bout of epic proportions. The greatest political fist-fight of our generation. It was like watching Ali vs. Frazier with much greater stakes – the lives of more than 20 crore Pakistanis hanging in the balance. The cornered tiger eventually shredded through the lion roaring in the jungles of Punjab. The ‘electorate’ has robustly endorsed ‘Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi’.

Historians would write the names of these six people as those who misjudged the situation, who for petty interests and tiny benefits changed their loyalities. These 6 people, were respected, admired and honored by Imran Khan, but they all backstabbed him and broke his trust.

Today, Imran Khan is what he was determined for, the Prime Minister designate of Pakistan, but these 6 people, are surely the ones with a lot of regret in their baggage.

The Nation has spoken! In some places resoundingly in favor of change and Imran. In others with qualified support. In some, ousting the old guard. Some barely scraping through!

The sentiment is clear. PTI from 70 lac votes in 2013 to 167 lacs in 2018, shows the massive shift in preferences. This despite the 10 years of PMLN in power in Punjab and PPP in Sind.

Karachi, the urbanest of our population centers, politically very astute, also voted for massive change, dumping its traditional support for MQM or its morphed entities like the PSP.

By the Grace of ALLAH ALMIGHTY, our upcoming PRIME MINISTER is IMRAN KHAN. 22 years of day and night struggle eventually paid off. From the tonga party to Pakistan’s largest political party, a dream coming true of NAYA PAKISTAN. Khan said he came into politics because he believed that the potential of our beloved country Pakistan was never being realized. He further added the Pakistan which he saw growing

Locals used to have doubts/reservations about PTI Karachi but seeing the respect our young leaders are receiving we can proudly say that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has clearly changed the political landscape of the country, especially of Karachi.

Following is a Facebook post shared by 'Ariba Shahid' a local of Block-2, Gulshan-e-Iqbal commending the efforts shown by our young leader and PS-102 candidate Arsalan Taj Ghumman.
