20th October 2023 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

  1. 76 days have elapsed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The situation reflects an ongoing concern of political reprisal against Imran Khan, Notably, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq's decision to grant bail to Nawaz Sharif despite his sentencing has set a precedent, while Imran Khan is awaiting justice in a frivolous case within the confines of incarceration. Furthermore, Justice Aamer Farooq's endorsement of the appointment of special court judge Zulqarnain Abul Hasnat, despite concerns about its legality and constitutionality, is being challenged, as the President of Pakistan did not approve the law under which the court was created, and the judge was appointed.
  2. For the first time in Pakistan, protests in favour of Palestine have become a crime. Chairman PTI Imran Khan, in a meeting with his legal team yesterday, expressed his desire to record the protest on behalf of the Pakistanis in favour of Palestine. 4. No one except Imran Khan can undo the divide between institutions and the people of Pakistan. Speaking on the daily talk show, Central Information Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Rauf Hassan said, "The manner in which Nawaz Sharif's bail was granted is a shame for all of us as Pakistanis. Even in the past, our courts fell very low (in their decisions), but today the fall has reached its lowest. The aloofness between people and institutions is increasing, because of which the reputation of the institution has been seriously affected. No one can reduce this distance except Imran Khan. This is a long story spanning 76 years with a mindset behind it that only we have the right to rule this country. If we want to change this issue of interfering in politics instead of national security, time is needed. The state can only survive if it takes its course while fulfilling the democratic requirements."
  5. State fascism continues against Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders. Despite the court order against the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the crackdown started again. Former Provincial Minister and Secretary General of Peshawar Region Kamran Bangash was released from the court but arrested again by the Peshawar Police. Despite being on bail in all FIRs, Kamran Bangash was arrested by DSP Zahid Alam. The police have shifted the former provincial minister Kamran Bangash to an unknown location. Former provincial vice president Anwar Zaib Khan was also arrested despite being on bail.
  6. Two days ago, the Lahore High Court approved the bail of Sanam Javed, Khadija Shah and other prisoners and ordered their release. Court officials also reached the jail with a request to release them, but the jail authorities have decided to keep them under constant detention.
  7. The Supreme Court has scheduled the hearing of the cases related to conducting the elections in ninety days and trials of civilians in military courts next week. The committee established by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa also constituted new benches for hearing the cases. Lawyers hope for justice from the court.
  8. The state machinery has been employed by PML-N for Nawaz Sharif's rally. The entire state machinery is working as an employee of the PML-N to make the PMLN Jalsa Minar Pakistan a success. The police brutally torturing Tehreek-e-Insaf workers are nnow putting up banners as employees in the Jalsagah. Aerial surveillance of the meeting place is also being done. Arrangements are made for Nawaz Sharif's jalsa by suspending the schools and making the children help with the preparations.

It has become customary to make a case of terrorism against every person in the country. When will the Chief Justice take notice?
  10. Khawaja Asif of PML-N replied to the accusation of PPP in an interview and admitted that the match has been fixed already, but howcome PPP did not realize this in the last 16 months? They were also in government with us till two months ago, and now PPP is acting oblivious. This confession of Khawaja Asif is a confirmation of Imran Khan's narrative.
  11. Goods Transport Owners Association announces strike across the country. While holding a press conference in Karachi, General Secretary of Goods Association Chaudhry Awais said “We have already parked 5000 vehicles in protest at Kathor to end the overload.
