The court sends notices to the parties in the Cipher bail case hearing.

Today, 109 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Imran Khan was arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case and the cipher case. The bail application was heard in the Supreme Court today. During the hearing, the lawyer of Chairman Imran Khan, Barrister Salman Safdar, argued that this is not even a case. Khan's arrest was kept secret, and till today a copy of the cipher has not been provided to prove whether Imran Khan has committed any violation or not, nor are the provisions imposed by the prosecution in this case. On the arguments of Salman Safdar, Justice Yahya Afridi remarked that the disappearance of the cipher is not a crime. Justice Ayesha Malik raised a major point. She said, "What is the relationship of the Ministry of Interior with this case?". These remarks and yesterday's decision of the Islamabad High Court declaring the jail trial illegal prove that the cipher case against Imran Khan has been made on political grounds only. The court adjourned the hearing without giving a date and issued notices to all the parties.

Former MNA Alia Hamza's letter from jail.

"On May 10, not only the threshold and walls of my house, but the threshold and wall of every mother, daughter and sister's house was jumped. On May 10, the door of my house was not broken, the door of every house in Pakistan was made unsafe. On that day, I was not dragged around without a hijab, but the democracy and representation of this country were humiliated and disrespected. On that day, the black bandage was not on my eyes, the black cloth was not on my mouth, and the handcuffs were not on my hands, but on the democratic system of the country. On that day, the windows of my house were not shattered, my heart and the hearts of every daughter, mother and sister of my nation were broken because I was the representative of the mothers, sisters and daughters of our nation. Sadness is that sticking to the principles and not compromising was my choice, then why is my family being punished so much for this. The punishment for sticking to the principles would be so severe, I did not even think in my wildest dreams."
